The Peabody Historical Society's Smith Barn provides an ideal setting for any private celebration you may have in mind, from office party to wedding. Located just two miles from Interstate 95, Route 1, 128 and 114; the barn is secluded on a hilltop, within the preserves of Brooksby Farm, a two hundred fifty acre working apple orchard and conservation area. The views of surrounding forest and fields are highlighted by the rich history of the preserved buildings at this historic site. The Barn kitchen has a separate loading area to accommodate outside food catering service vehicles. The main function hall and its twin balconys are restored rustic barnboard, decorated with antique farm tools and implements. The reception area leads to this great hall, creating a unique setting for any event up to a capacity of two hundred fifty people. Weather permitting, the barn's two enormous rear doors are opened revealing its wonderful views. The venue is available from April 1st to November 15th.
